Tina - there is an even nearer local station. Narborough. If you can get there, someone could pick you up. Or if others are coming on the train, you could share a taxi.

I would offer, but I will be in plaster and will be unable to drive.

Tina - there will be lots of us with cars and we will arrange for one of us to come and pick you up. Don't worry about that.

I went to Narborough for the last one thinking the same Ann, but it seemed completely devoid of any taxi's hence my scarecrow look when I finally got to the hilton :) (long walk + fields and hayfever = recipe for disaster <giggle>)

I'd go to Leicester just to be on the safe side :)

Well, I have had a count up and Leicester it will be for the next get-together.

I will start the booking procedure to ensure we get the dates we want and we will start the list of those wanting to go in the New Year. I'm sure we are all busy with Christmas preparations at the moment and it will be nice to think of an outing after all the hype of Christmas is over RollEyes

i think it is the last weekend in April

24th and 25th.

Staying at the leceister hilton on special deal

http://www.hilton.co.uk/leicester

For a Double Double Delux room (which will fit me, Richard, Michael and Bernice with room to spare) including full breakfast is £109 PER NIGHT.

which is very good I think.

if you need a second room for children, the second rm is half price and according to their January sale offer- all weeken breaks are half price.

Good eh?

Hello everyone,

Yes, it is all booked at Leicester. Lunch on Saturday 24th April.

The booking will be the same as last year for a 3 course buffet lunch (with choices). The cost will be the same as last year: £15 per head, half price for children.

You may book rooms with the booking reference ‘NRAS’ at special rates of: £70 per night for 2 people including full breakfast and £55 for 1 person including breakfast.
If you book this way, it is possible to cancel.

As Jenni pointed out, there is a special offer on at the moment, but I understand that these bookings cannot be cancelled and I have a feeling they have to be paid for in advance. Please checkwith them if you book this way.

If you stay at the hotel, you can use the leisure facilities f.o.c.

Those just staying for lunch can use them for a small charge.

The hotel is about 3 miles from the Train Station, but I am sure we can arrange between ourselves to pick people up if they are without transport.

I will be asking you to confirm whether you are coming nearer the time. I have to give numbers one week before the lunch.

Warmest wishes, Ann
